A structured Transitional Program for single women already employed with dependent children who need assistance in sustaining a self-sufficient lifestyle. The program provides shelter, educational opportunities, resources, life skills training, and mentoring.
This is a 6 month to 2 year program that is designed to help single parent families to become productive and self-sufficient citizens. We provide a safe and healthy atmosphere for the women and their children.
Pre-screening applications and requirements are needed to qualify for this program, are given at orientation. You must have proof of steady income on your job, a minimum of 90 days to enter the SHINE program.
We offer a safe, drug and alcohol free, and crime free facility with 24-hour staff. Case managers who provide guidance and resources, life-skills workshops, budgeting and accountability workshops, counseling and spiritual support. In addition, we offer computer labs, laundry facilities, youth programs, activities for the youth and families.
There are many opportunities to receive incentives to assist you when you graduate the program.
